Grandma's Easter Egg Hunt

About once a month we have dinner with Earl's family at his parents home in Battle Ground. This month we drove up Sunday after General Conference and had dinner. Because this month we celebrate Easter (and we won't be up there for Easter Sunday), Grandma had an Easter egg hunt for the grandkids. My kids really look forward to seeing their cousins and they were extra excited about the egg hunt. An added bonus was the beautiful weather. Last year it rained during the hunt, but this year it was hot and sunny! Ethan was so excited it was shorts weather. This was our first 70+ degree day since October. What perfect timing!

The younger kids (under age 5) hunted in the front yard.
Tyson, Winston, Talitha, Ethan and Phillip are ready to go.
Of course, Ethan and Phillip were just helping, not hunting.

Ethan was being a good helper showing Tyson where all the eggs were.

Tyson with his load of eggs. He kept saying, "Too heavy! Too heavy!"

The big kids hunted for eggs in the backyard. As I was trying to get a picture of the kids at the start, Grandpa yelled "Go!" and they all took off before I could get the shot! So here's Mallory, Allison, and Caroline running for the eggs.

Allison and Ethan after the hunt. They were such quick hunters it was hard to get pictures of them.
