Robin Hood Festival

We live in Sherwood, Oregon. And yes, it is named after that famous Sherwood forest. Here they take the name very seriously as Allison attends Archer Glen Elementary School and there are street names such as King Richard's Court. And what would a Sherwood town be without its own Robin Hood Festival?! So we have a celebration the 3rd weekend in July, which was this past weekend. There is a parade Saturday morning that we have attended every year since we moved here. The kids love it because the people in the parade throw candy to the spectators and Earl and I like it because we get to see a lot of people we know. The parade is made up of floats with business and community people, horses, dancers, old fashioned cars, and of course Maid Marian and her court. This year was Tyson's first time to really enjoy the parade-waving to people and picking up candy-because last year he wasn't very mobile yet. Now we have a stash of candy which should get us through until Halloween!
